Test Preparation

We'll discuss your need and how soon I can help you. If everything looks good, we'll schedule an official diagnostic test and evaluation. Then, we'll meet again to discuss the results and areas in which you need improvement. We'll develop a plan for learning exactly what you need to know and need to practice going forward. The objective is to help you maximize your score as quickly as possible with the least amount of expense.

Writing

We'll discuss what you need to write and how much progress you've made so far. If we both agree, we'll book as many sessions as needed to create the document you need including developing content, choosing a writing style, organizing your information, deciding on sentence and paragraph structure, or anything else that is needed to produce a convincing document.

Editing

You can submit a document directly to me for a cost estimate (2Mb or less) or schedule a consultation to submit and discuss larger manuscripts. I'll provide an estimate of cost and the amount of time needed to edit and proofread your document. If everything looks okay, I'll get underway with the changes needed to make your writing understandable and coherent.

Interview Practice

We'll talk about which university or organization you plan to interview with and what position or award you are interviewing for (Masters placement, PhD placement, scholarship, etc.). I'll do a quick assessment of your preparedness and we'll put together a plan for developing or enhancing the answers you need to give and how much time it will take you to practice until you are ready to interview.

Presentations

As an ESL speaker, presenting can be one of the most difficult communication tasks. We'll go over your presentation assignment (classroom, poster, or other) and determine how much assistance is needed from presentation construction to final practice. The resulting sessions will provide pinpoint feedback for improvement until you are confident in your ability to present effectively.

Finally...

Because I focus on the individual, I don't need to sell expensive packaged class deals with unnecessary hours of instruction that you don't need. There's no reason to get lost in the crowd in a large class setting. I simply offer an evaluation of YOUR individual work and my suggestions on how you can improve based on YOUR specific need.

When you feel like you've learned enough to accomplish your task, whether that be in testing, writing, or speaking--say so. When that happens, we wrap things up.

That's value for your money.

Learn what you need--nothing more, nothing less.
